Located in the center of Montana, Spika Welding and Manufacturing is a surprising business to find nestled in the cattle and farm country.

Established in 2001 as a two-person metal fabrication shop, Spika has become a premier designer/manufacturer of specialized military and civilian equipment, including OSHA-compliant aircraft maintenance platforms and Oxy-Acetylene welding systems. Spika continues to introduce new and innovative products that improve safety and efficiency in rotary and fixed wing aircraft maintenance, focusing on modularity, space conservation, deployability, and quality.

Spika has also become recognized as a leader in portable industrial wash and reclaim systems, helping to establish standards for noxious weed seed and aquatic invader removal. Spika’s research, testing, and product development has helped define the capacities required for effective environmental protection.

Spika utilizes the latest in three-dimensional drafting technology, SolidWorks, to assist in creating complex and progressive products and equipment. This allows the customer to review, envision, and actively participate in the development of their projects, while assuring accurate fit, finish, and function of the final product. Our extensive design, research, drafting, and project development is second to none and assures our customer of a finished product that meets and exceeds their expectations.

Spika is a member of the Central Montana Chamber of Commerce, the Army Aviation Association, the National Guard Association, the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the American Welding Society (AWS), and was recently elected to serve on the board of directors of the Montana Manufacturers Extension Center (MMEC). Spika Welding is a Charter member of the Central Montana Manufacturing Alliance (CMMA), a cluster group of area manufacturers that offer a vast array of capabilities, from the TIG, MIG, and Polypro welding of Spika to water-jet cutting and CNC machining of Synthesis Industries, to sheet metal forming, plasma cutting, and powder-coating of HCR Inc. Vacuum forming, casting and equipment design are also offered within the Alliance, and these various capabilities at our disposal enable us to undertake many projects we would not be able to do alone.  When you as a customer deal with one of the CMMA members, you are tapping into the resources of the entire group.  For more information on the CMMA, please click on the CMMA link

We look forward to working with you and hope to add you to our list of loyal customers by proving our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. We’re still a small Montana family-owned company; small enough to design, proof, prototype, and manufacture the first batch in the time it takes large companies to create a first-draft conceptual proposal, and we’re doing it in the middle of Montana.
