Spika's Hot Rods
There are two things we at Spika are passionate about: building the finest, best designed work stands on the market, and playing with street rods. No, not racing, not showing...building and driving.
Our first build, the "Studester", started life as a 1946 Studebaker M15 one-ton pickup. In 2004, this pickup that had been in the Spika family since 1963 underwent a transformation in the Spika shop, creating a removable hardtop pickup with a 383 Chevy stroker engine, auto transmission, 1978 Chevy Caprice front end, lots of custom aluminum dash and interior, and a whole lot of fun. We average 4,000-5,000 miles a year, traveling the state and getting some wind in our hair.

Our second build, just completed in the spring of 2011, is another family pickup, a 1952 GMC 3/4 ton, purchased in 1961. Living its first life as a farm truck on the Spika ranch northwest of Lewistown, the "Midnight Rose" underwent its transformation to include an IFS Mustang II front end, 4-link rear suspension, air bags all around, a 383 stroker, 9" Ford rear, air conditioning, and a surprisingly attractive metallic Dusty Rose and Silver paint. A beautiful truck, and a real pleasure to drive!
