One such customer was a large satellite manufacturing company. This company needed a very specialized work stand, cantilevered to over-reach the satellite support fixture.  Spika was able to design a platform that interfaced with the existing equipment and fixtures, while positioning the workers safely in the upper zones required.  By combining computer models of their existing fixtures with those of the work stands, the customer was able to evaluate the design and confirm an ideal fit before giving the final go-ahead for the project.

Spika was also asked to use its expertise in product design and engineering to develop a stand for maintenance of the B2 Spirit Stealth Bomber.  Again, a heavily cantilevered design was required; one that would over-reach the nose of the aircraft considerably, while conforming accurately with the contour of the cabin and windshield.  Considerable height adjustability was required, as was the need to protect the sensitive skin of the aircraft from potential contact.  Working hand-in-hand with the technicians intimately knowledgeable about the maintenance procedures and the desired requirements of the work stand, Spika was able to engineer and produce a product as unique as the B2 aircraft itself.
